Farming title...
I ran about 10 rotscale farms yesterday. Being the Warrior in the group I ran to zone for us. After all my time just to run there most of the pugs I was in sucked! I got 2 good PUGs out of 10 yesterday. I hate wasting time.
With that said I was complaining to another player who was pretty good and He said too bad there is no way to tell who is an experienced farmer and who is not.
That gave me an idea. Why not a farmers title? If ANET can determine you have farmed an area too much then they can determine if you are a farmer and provide a farmer title. That way we can see who is an experienced farmer.
What do you think?

I don't think A-Net will institute a title for something they explicitly discourage. Not only have they instituted anti-farming code, but they've also said that they discourage "grind", which is the pure definition of farming.

they discourage grind yet fow armor costs nearly 2 mill..... hmmmm..
anyway if there was a farming title it would be the lamest title ever.. cause everyone would already have it when it released.
not to mention if it didnt give you the title from what you have farmed. and you had to farm it from scratch.. i still would not go for the title.. cause i would fear somehow getting the farmers title would make the code be twice as bad on me.

Wisdom titles can be bought,
1k- a gold, they can buy gold on ebay and get them
As chest hunting its more of a sport/gambling nowadays then farming.

Yeah; we have treasure hunter and wisdom title tracks. We really don't need more farming titles; and using the anti-farm code to determine if you deserve a "farming title" wouldn't really show who is good at farming. Anyone could grab a full team of hench and kill any boss over and over to trigger the code and they wouldn't need to know anything about farming.

Yeah...just what we need, more elitism in the game...
If you don't like crappy PuGs, stop going with PuGs. If you don't want to stop going with them, don't complain about it. It's personal choice, take your pick.

It'd turn into a big pve version of HA "Farming rotscale must have tier 2 farming title to join no noobs plz" beginners would be left with no or little farming 'veterans' to help them learn ect. But whatever, /signed.

Thats wrong, Gaile has already stated in an earlier post (the anti-farm code thread) that Anet has nothing against farming they only have problems with bots and players that farm like bots.
Use the friends list to add other decent farmers you meet along the way. More lame titles are not needed.

While I used to farm and grind, and enjoy it, I must say Farming and Forceful-Grinding are just cheap way of adding game play.
This could also create elitism, where a newly started player would not get to play the full content or get in a party because he/she does not have the proper "Title". Not a good way to grow in player.
One title/badge I kinda want to see is a slayer title. Something like you talk to a NPC, who will assign you with a mob to kill, (say 100 trolls), and once done so, will give you a title/badge (Troll Slayer)... something like that.
*I had a thread about badges... so won't go too much detail here...

ranks are not representative of skill, and these titles would not be either. you would have the same problem. a better solution to your problem can be found in another suggestion thread, either the "friendslist notes" or "friendslist grouping" threads. that or join a farm guild.

If they had title for number of different bosses you've killed, then that'd be okay, but each one will only give you one point, even if you kill him 100 times.

I think Anet dislike over-farming and try everything they can to discourage it.
Hence the use of "the code", when you over farm a location.
I cant see them rewarding farming with a title.
It is a shame, because any activity which you do for a long time and put alot of effort into should be rewarded. But farming isnt looked upon nicely by Anet.

That's like giving a title to droks runners, which anet clearly doesn't want around.
